Coaching for Tech Leaders
You’ve spent your career building complex systems. But the most complex system you’ll ever navigate isn’t made of code – it’s made of people, culture, and your own leadership.
Whether you are an aspiring manager, an emerging or a seasoned leader, the pressure to deliver results while retaining your best talent is a constant balancing act. I help you debug the patterns holding you back and act as an “enzyme” to catalyze the growth you want to see.
Why Work With Me
I speak your language. I don’t just understand systemic coaching. I understand the reality of startups and scale-ups. With over 25 years of experience in software engineering and tech leadership, I know what it’s like to face a high-stakes roadmap, navigate burnout, and lead through rapid change.
My Approach: The Systemic Debugger I view leadership through a systemic lens. We don’t just look at a single problem in isolation, but rather at the patterns, the environment, and the human dynamics.
Trust as the Root: We create a high-safety environment where you can be honest about what isn’t working.
Structure Over Theory: I am driven by real behavioral change, not just interesting insights.
Sustainable Results: We focus on making you a more effective manager so you can achieve goals without sacrificing your well-being or your team’s morale.
What to Expect: The Roadmap
There is a clear distinction between coaching, training and consulting. Briefly, consulting is directing, advising or helping implement a solution. In coaching, the assumption is that the client is the expert of their life and the coach’s job is to help them clarify the goals, understand their system, come to realization and take the next practical steps. I provide all these types of support as needed and contracted.
Our work together follows a structured path designed to move from initial friction to sustainable high performance, similar to a tech project:
1. Kick-off
We check for chemistry, mutual fit and scope.
We define what “success” looks like for our engagement so we stay on track.
For organizations, we align sponsor goals with the coachees, clarify the mandate, confidentiality and reporting.
2. Discovery
From here, we engage in 1:1 sessions. We sharpen your goals. We look at your values, intentions, and the current “system” you are operating in.
3. Audit
We use systemic tools to surface hidden patterns and widened perspectives. This is where we identify the “code” that needs refactoring.
4. MVP
We look for solution-based resources and small next steps.
5. Iterations
Insight is useless without action. We co-create tiny experiments – small, safe actions you can try immediately in your day-to-day work to test new behaviors and learn from the feedback. This is the bridge between our sessions and your daily reality, anticipating obstacles and adjusting our approach based on what works.
6. Retrospective
We reflect on the change and impact, compre outcome to the goals, celebrate success and anchor habits.
7. Maintenance
We ensure you have runbooks, documentation and observability as the maintenance plan for the future.
